Montmartre is an area of Paris that is deliciously charming and typically parisienne. It is the "artistic" side of Paris and there is a square full of painters and people who want to draw or paint a portrait of you. It is right next to the Sacre Coeur and just above Pigalle, the red light district where the Moulin Rouge is found. The christmas lights all around Paris are starting to go up now and add to the charm.
