Peanut Butter and Jam

Last night I went to an art class with Margaux and her friend Hugo. It was great I felt so artisic. We sat around and did art as we talked. During our conversation peanut butter came up. Hugo loves peanut butter apparently, which is really rare amoung the french. We started talking about how we like it best; on toast, normal bagettes or what is called biscotts here which are like dried bread. Anyway , I started to try to explian the peanut butter and jelly sandwich phenomenon in Canada. Hugo looked at me and was like, "You eat it with..... jam?!" Pretty unbelievable, then I started to explain to them that sometimes we eat peanut butter with banans too. He was like "What! When do you eat this sort of thing, breakfast, lunch?" So I told him usually lunch. He totally stunned that we eat peanut butter with fruity stuff. Then I told him that its not always the case and that I really enjoy the ocasional peanut butter and pickle sandwich (true by the way) After that he was like," Well pickles are understandable, but fruity jam, ehhg, I don't know."
That alone was worth coming to France to hear. Ahh the french.
